Alisha became a professional horseback riding instructor in 2001. She started Pinellas Horse as a social network on a platform called Ning (before Facebook was a thing). Pinellas Horse brought the community together like nothing else before... Well, unless you count the bulletin board at Largo Feed Store in the early 90s.
Today we have Facebook Groups to post our stuff for sale and chat about things going on. Yet we still feel isolated from each other, whinnying to our friends from the barn the street.
